| Description: | Demonstrate theoretical knowledge of social services with technical and clinical skills including delivery of therapy and concrete services. Provide in-home treatment focusing on achievement of sustainable family reunification which ensures child safety and well-being. Work collaboratively with the visit coordinator to ensure the seamless integration of all service elements, including: - Visitation
- Clinical services
- Family engagement in case planning and services
- Resolution of issues that are barriers to reunification
- Collaboration with the DYFS caseworker for planning and service coordination.

| Duties: | Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Conduct case safety risk assessments.
- Alert Supervisor of safety concerns.
- Behave in accordance with safety tips, policy and procedures as guided by Risk Management.
- Assess client needs.
- Formulate and implement case treatment plans for individuals, children, families and/or groups.
- Provide therapeutic interventions.
- Utilization of clinical tools and measurements in service delivery.
- Provide necessary documents to the Quality Assurance Specialist within the specified timeline.
- Facilitate the evaluation process by active participation in the overall quality improvement process (record review, risk management, etc).
- Adhere to performance standards based on program specifications and level of service requirements, including completion of all paperwork, in a professional manner within the designated time frames.
- Maintain a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend work to accommodate scheduling needs of clients
- Be accessible to assigned clients twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week in accordance with program specifications.
- Notify Supervisor to arrange for coverage during illness and vacation time
- Provide supervision to bachelor-level staff, student interns and/or volunteers.
- Demonstrate professional responsibility in making effective use of individual and group supervisory sessions, program staff meetings, agency resources and training sessions.
- Work cooperatively with staff from the Division of Youth and Family Services, service providers, and other community agencies to ensure seamless planning, services, case management, and linkages.
- Demonstrate competence in working independently in a variety of settings, with emphasis on the provision of intensive in-home services.
- Contact the Division of Youth and Family Services, utilizing the Division’s procedures, if there is suspicion that a child is at risk of physical, sexual or emotional abuse or neglect.
- Must be able to see, speak and hear.
- Employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and arms and must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

| Qualifications: | - Master’s degree in social work or related field.
- Experience and/or ability to relate to and engage multi-problem children is paramount.
- Personal qualities of warmth, empathy and sense of responsibility are essential.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
